It is time for change...

We are nearing the high eighty mark of autistic children that have wandered and died since Mason drowned three years ago. That is unacceptable to me. We need a firm, cohesive, nationwide plan to save our children.

The fact of the matter is, while I focus primarily on autistic children that wander and die, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death among all young children. Ponds and pools HAVE to be inaccessible to young children. It is intolerable that our children are dying simply because safety precautions aren’t mandatory. Next, it might be your child. That is the simple truth.

I never, ever, ever expected to go to work and then end up pulling my child’s lifeless body out of a pond two hours later. No one wants to think that something like this could happen to them, but the truth is, it could, it might, and it will unless we all stand together and do something about it RIGHT NOW! We are all responsible for the lives of the children in our communities and have a duty to protect each and every child the best we can
